Man's body discovered on mountain

The body of a man has been found on a mountain in the Highlands.

The man's remains were found by Kintail Mountain Rescue Team on Beinn Fhada, near the Bealach an Sgairne, about four miles from Morvich, at 1220 BST on Sunday.

Stornoway Coastguard helicopter helped the team to remove the body. The man has not yet been identified.

In a separate incident a man was helped by rescuers after becoming stuck on the Cuillin Ridge on Skye.

Skye Mountain Rescue Team and Stornoway Coastguard were called out after the man became trapped while descending Kings Cave Chimney at about 1640 BST on Sunday.
