Suspended police officers resign

Three Lincolnshire police officers and a civilian worker resigned during an investigation into allegations of misconduct, it has emerged.

Two of the police officers were arrested in connection with allegations relating to "property found in their possession", said Supt Paula Wood.

The four, who worked at Louth police station, have all left the force since their suspension on 25 August.

A file has been forwarded to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The two arrested officers remain on police bail.

In a statement, the force said it expected high standards of discipline and conduct from all of its officers.
